Sense Sonnet - Acher

The Brownings

The Brownings were a couplet true.
Elizabeth and Robert loved
Each other in the world they knew.
Their poems passionately gloved
In heart felt words flowing in rhyme,
Assuring that their love would last
Beyond their lives and for all time,
For future dreams in their love past.
Elizabeth, in health unwell,
In Robert's loving arms she died.
Their poetry will ever tell
That even death could not divide.

The Brownings wrote poems apart
To come together in the heart.
