Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Shame on Francesco Schettino

Francesco Schettino, his name.
He was the captain of the ship,
Costa Concordia. His fame
Growing as, first he let her rip
From changing course for a showboat -
A sail "flyby" to shore impress,
Where a reef interrupted float.
How could he have been so careless?
And then he went to cowardly,
Abandoning his ship before
Others on board were off safely.
Some would not live to get to shore.

He'll go down, Captain Schettino,
Not with his ship, but he'll wish so.
