Sense Sonnet - Acher

Wade Out

Don Wade tells Roma he's off on
A paddleless up the creek cruise,
By himself. Roma chides, "Oh Don."
"We usually travel in twos."
But Don insists he go alone.
He needs some time out because
His life's become a twilight zone.
He's sure he's got male menopause.
So that's why he's been such a pain,
Roma reflects and says, "Go, go."
And she unlocks his ball and chain,
Setting her Don free - doncha know?

From the cruise Don just disappears,
Victim of badmouth Roma fears.
