Ron Paul

Ron Paul would fail as president.
Politics would taint his pure views.
He could not limit government.
In the end his efforts would lose.
Some voters like what Paul has said,
More and more over the years.
Maybe some day when Paul is dead,
Decades from now his time appears.
But now America is still
Too much, too many in the hold
Of the powers that be that will
Just let the nation's ills unfold.

For now Ron Paul's words are in vain.
We, the people, must feel more pain.
