Complex as dubbed TIC for short,
Gets taxpayer billions to mull
Terrorist threats of any sort.
Defense and info tech big biz
Have gotten bigger thanks to it -
Nine eleven attack that is.
For that money what did we get?
No big repeat attack - 'tis true,
But lots of smaller one man tries.
Some failed but some attacks went through.
Can't ask these dead what money buys.

Better homeland security
Is up to us and not money.
