That Minneapolis bridge fell.
Lots of people were dead and hurt.
The studies afterward did tell
Of bad defects that should alert.
Thousands of such bridges still stand.
Millions crossing over each year.
How much tragedy will demand
That safety first does reappear.
A presidential motorcade
Crossing over a collapsing bridge.
Would changed priorities get made
For safety's sake - more than a smidge?

Who will make the no brainer call?
Fix the bridges before they fall.
