Go Irish

Fiscal austerity makes sense
When times are bad, as Ireland knows.
But U.S. pols spare no expense
As the climbing deficit shows.
The U.S. has no leadership
Willing to do what must be done.
We're all stuck on this spending trip,
Looking for somewhere safe to run.
In the past the Irish ran here
When times in Ireland filled with dread.
Maybe that U.S. time is near,
And off to Ireland we should head.

A snowball's chance in hell to be
U.S. fiscal austerity.
