Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Censustivity

I come to visit each 10 years.
The Constitution says I must.
This round there seems to be some fears
That I am not one you can trust.
The right blames me as a left tool
To leave the right out in the cold.
I want no part of that trash duel.
Their bickering is getting old.
The Founding Father, Madison,
Thought I would be of proper use
To count everybody in.
I, the census, want no abuse.

So when I show up at your door,
It's just to count you - nothing more.
