Sense Sonnet - Acher

Po' Unc

Uncle Sam, you fell off the list.
Forbes says you're just a millionaire.
You're going fast like a hospiced.
Soon your assets will be but bare.
No more garbed in red, white and blue,
But wearing China's hand me downs.
Panhandling is all you can do.
People call you such nasty names.
Nieces and nephews once looked up
To all the values that you had.
Seeing you now with your tin cup,
Just makes us all so very sad.

Uncle Sam, you once were so rich,
But then you got that spend scratch itch.
