Sense Sonnet - Chiller

Lady Bluebeard

Belle Gunness - remember my name.
For money, I murdered a lot.
A serial killer of fame -
Husbands and children - I cared not.
They were life insurance proceeds
To buy the farming properties,
Where I could indulge all my needs,
Then bury the victims in ease.
When it came time to disappear,
I cut off a servant girl's head,
And relocated free and clear,
Leaving all to think I was dead.

They buried that headless body,
Thinking they'd seen the last of me.
