Should Know Better

It was a training exercise
For rookie police officers.
The lesson was to minimize
Shootings when disarming occurs.
One veteran cop grabbed the gun,
And it accidently shot
And killed the other veteran.
Later, a police captain sought
To recreate the tragedy,
And shot and killed another cop.
Nobody checked the guns to see
If bullets were part of the prop.

Training turned to mishap instead.
And now, 2 officers are dead.
