Sense Sonnet - Tickler

In-Law Ta-Ta

Winston Churchill was not real fond
Of Oliver, his son-in-law,
Who was ever trying to bond
By calling Churchill, "Popsey Pa."
At a dinner party one night,
"Popsey Pa," Oliver inquired,
"Of statemen you knew, which one might"
"Be the one that you most admired?"
Churchill faced Oliver and scowled.
At times Oliver made him sick.
"Mussolini," Churchill then growled.
"Popsey Pa - why such a strange pick?"

"Mussolini's creed was 'so what',"
"And ordered his son-in-law shot."
