The Way We Choose

We the people gave the dream birth,
Choosing to build a nation strong.
Coming from all parts of the earth,
We made choices - some right, some wrong.
But the way of life, liberty,
And the pursuit of happiness,
For each and all citizenry,
Stays the course we choose to progress.
Liberty and justice for all -
Ideals we struggle to attain.
Yet the nation avoids downfall
Where the free and the just remain.

In the nation, U. S. of A.
We the people still choose the way.
