 My Making Two Choices

A drunk and druggie I became,

Slave to addiction master's voice.

My life was filled with guilt and shame,

And for too long that was my choice.

At last, attempted suicide,

And God sent strangers to save me.

Lots of love and caring supplied,

Gave me strength to seek recovery,

Which I found and the path I chose,

One day at a time, since no cure.

But since, the better my life goes.

Life saving choice I made for sure.

Whether addiction I'd pursue,

I got some help and chose not to.
