Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Gone for a Season

Salt and pepper in shakers got

Into an argument about

Which was the best, and each one thought

Themselves the very best, no doubt.

Both made their shakers turn and tilt,

With a shake out of both of them,

Till both seasonings were all spilt,

Disappearing in flight mayhem.

Sadly, to season food there be

No more salt and pepper at hand,

Their absence quite a mystery,

Nobody seemed to understand.

Both were gone, for no good reason,

From all food, gone for a season.
