 Thoreau's Advantage

Henry David Thoreau did write

That "the mass of men lead lives of"

"Quiet desperation," insight

He wrote from the place he did love,

Walden Pond, where he lived alone,

Not in humanity's rat race

To acquire more and more to own.

Thoreau, in nature's lovely place,

Was free to write truth on his mind,

With no one close, a fuss to give,

Unlike most mass of men, to find

A non desperate way to live.

How did Thoreau enjoy his life?

Never did have a nagging wife.
