 To Victory from Defeat

Drugs and alcohol I did let

Attack my body, mind and soul.

Drunk and drug addict I did get.

War within took a heavy toll,

Causing me so much stress and strife,

That I attempted suicide.

God sent strangers to save my life.

Reason for living was supplied.

And with God's help. I knew I could

Have addition recovery,

And turn my life from bad to good,

Be a loving and better me.

For God's help I do daily pray,

And clean and sober I do stay.
