 My Mind, Felined

My mental health, like my house cat,

Companion fulfilling my need

To have a happy habitat,

Helping me in good thought and deed.

I give some gentle, loving care,

Food and water and space to run.

Then mutually fit life we share,

Each day bringing some joy and fun.

Of course the housecat gets upset,

But I am responsible for

Regular checkups at the vet,

So we stay healthy all the more.

But when my housecat feels not good,

Can claw and bite my humanhood.
