 House Change

Only child of my Mom and Dad,

First lived in love in a house, small.

Very good jobs, both my folks had,

American Dream lived we all.

A beautiful, large house they bought.

We should have shared a happy time,

But more successful my folks got,

The more and more that they and I'm

Be living separately of

Each other in this house so fine,

But just kept on emptying love

From in this family of mine.

I left for college in due course,

Then Mom and Dad got their divorce.
