Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Shadowed by Death

Into a valley pasture green

I found myself one lovely day,

Such a natural beauty scene,

I decided a while to stay.

So a leisurely rest I took

Upon the grass and flowers by

A gently flowing babbling brook,

Watching white clouds roll through blue sky.

Then I was startled suddenly,

Threatened I had ignored all sign

This place was not welcome to me,

So dire consequence was all mine.

A stranger and trespasser, I,

The owner shot, was left to die.
