 Ohio River

Ohio River is my name.

Ohio means "good river" is.

But modern day, my claim to fame,

Most polluted by dirty biz.

Plants and animals that once thrived

Because of me, no longer do.

Very few of them have survived

All the pollution in me through

The carelessness of humankind,

Using me as a dumping site,

Out of their sight, out of their mind.

Hazards pour in me day and night.

Most polluted in the U.S.

River dying, humans care less.
