Sense Sonnet - Tickler

 Word, "Persnickety," of Scottish Origin

His wife just dead, and so the Scot,

Quite fussy on money be spent,

A cheapest death notice he sought

From the local newspaper sent.

When the Scot first wrote out, "Wife dead,"

Was told by the newspaper clerk,

Cheapest charge had a six word spread.

The Scot pondered what best would work.

"Wife dead," two words he thought should stay.

What four other words to detail?

So the Scot added on to say

Four more words, "Hair curlers for sale."

Always lookout for bargain be,

The Scot is quite "purse"nickety.
