Sense Sonnet - Tickler

 Why I Write

Once I was deemed a mental case,

Institutionalized for that,

For me a boring time and place.

So while in confined habitat,

I began writing sonnets to

Keep myself being entertained,

And gave me something fun to do,

While I was forcibly detained.

Not long after my writing start,

I was told the shrinks agreed, hence

Take my poetry and depart.

I thought this no coincidence.

So I keep writing poetry,

Hoping they won't recommit me.
