Sense Sonnet - Acher
My Final Stretch
The wife, stranger than her norm strange,
Was told by my mother in law,
A hit on her I did arrange,
And for the wife, the final straw.
I looked the wife in her face straight,
Thinking this a strategic way
To boldly lie to my mad mate,
Cuz from the truth I needed stray.
My mother in law, such a strain,
Always telling the wife truth that
Always caused the wife to complain
My being a cheating tom cat.
I guess that is why I'm now here,
Laid out in this morgue stratosphere.
