 I'm Named for a Deadly Sin

Most of my time I'm in my tree,

Where food, water and shelter is.

Just go to ground to poop and pee,

Right back up tree after done biz.

When English speaking folks first found

Me, after I was watched a while,

I got a name that was renowned

For a deadly sin, made me smile,

As I realized there and then,

Only humans need words for such,

Cuz only humans commit sin.

Mine is no sin, though do it much.

Instinctively, I just knoweth,

A sinless sloth, I just sloweth.
