Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Bridge Crossing
Gaggle of geese on their way home,
Now crossing bridge across the creek.
Goose leader, wanting none to roam
Into the water, dip to seek,
Honks out an order to goose pack,
Like the cars in a passing train,
Waddle in step and keep on track.
Of course, some of the geese complain,
Wanting to do what they ought not,
Jump into the creek for a swim.
But no such act, just train of thought,
With water wishing just a whim.
Last in the train, Slowpoke, caboose,
Train engine leader, Mother Goose.
