Sense Sonnet - Steamer
Afloat in the Pool
I be a floating in the pool,
Upon my back, feeling serene,
With the sun warmth, in water cool,
Soft breezes ripple 'twixt and 'tween
The gentle splish and splash of wet.
A time and place to daydream of
My wishful desires coming yet,
Of youthful joy falling in love,
Suspended in the here and now.
The sunlight sparkling all around,
Off the water as though somehow
Into ecstasy I be bound.
All my serenity does stop.
Young brother does a belly flop.
