 Song for Miss Emily

Miss Emily, a poet fine,

Wrote a poem that came to be

A very favorite of mine.

I felt she wrote it just for me.

For I do sing my song to all,

Whether weather is bad or good.

I do believe nature does call

Upon me to sing, for I could

Be heard by any humankind,

Like miss Emily, prompting her

To write from heart and soul and mind,

Enough reward for me for sure.

Of me, hope be her choice of word,

Made me a proud and happy bird.
