Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Chickens' Routine

Since early morning hour when

Mister Rooster cockadoodled,

Each and every Missus Hen

Laid eggs and the numbers oodled,

For later pickup by the Farmer,

During which Missus Hens clucked of

Mister Rooster, such a charmer,

And so good at giving all love.

The Missus hens did cluck and peck

For lunch, hearing a snoring sound.

Usually heard, they need not check,

Also Mister Rooster renowned.

So where is Mister Rooster chap?

In the dahlia patch on a nap.
