 Toe Woe

Dropped a hammer on my big toe.

Looked funny and gave me much pain.

Wife said to E.R. I should go.

I told her no way, clear and plain.

Kintsugi, Japanese way to

Repair broken stuff, so was told,

Using a lacquer and could do

A mix, so sent wife to buy gold.

She did, I spread the mixture on

My big toe, and it looked bizarre.

None of the pain I had was gone.

I ended up in the E.R.

My gold big toe, wife thought bad joke.

With high toe bills, we both are broke.
