 What I'm Hearing

Yes, "Hello darkness my old friend,"

"I've come to talk with you again,"

Lyrics, when younger, I would tend

To listen to in the dark when

Simon and Garfunkel would sing.

And when the song was over, I

Would talk to the darkness, yearning,

But left always wondering why

From dark silence there came no sound.

So this song and I parted ways.

Darkness no longer had me bound.

And nights I'd light up like the days.

Now old, I listen to this song,

And hear the darkness sing along.
