Sense Sonnet - Acher
My Coat
A box of rags my Momma got,
And with winter coming, I'd need
A warm coat, but couldn't be bought,
So Momma sewed those rags indeed
Into a coat that fit me well,
And kept me warm as I walked to
School, and that day for Show and Tell,
As I heard giggles that kids do,
Proud, I showed my coat and told of
Just how that coat had come to be,
So well hand made with Momma's love,
That always was given to me.
My coat of Momma's love, well shown,
A coat of all I'd ever known
