Sense Sonnet - Acher

 My Fear

I remember as a child, I

Was fearless in my thought and deed.

But then as I got older, my

Fearlessness did change to the need

To be more fearful every day,

That what I dreamed and hoped for would

Not be happening just the way

I wanted, and that was not good.

The greater expectations had,

The lesser I was satisfied.

Why oh why had my life gone bad!

Why oh why won't my fear subside!

Now that I'm old, my fear's more mild,

May become fearless like my child.
