 My Queer Platonic Love

A poem I'm challenged to pen

Is about queer platonic love.

Love that's more than friendship, but then

Not romantic, yet feeling of

An intensity so profound,

Thus so difficult to explain,

Other than connection I'm bound

With my beloved, and to remain

Ever steadfast in place and time.

And as I pen my poem here,

My beloved now watches while I'm

Waxing poetic, near and dear.

My queer platonic love is that

I vow I have with Snow, my cat.
