 Added Elf on the Shelf

Sitting all alone on a shelf

Where I was sent by Santa to

Sit for Christmas all by myself.

I'm a very lonesome elf, true,

With nobody else to talk with.

In this house watching children, I

Have been assigned, a fact not myth,

By Santa, and the purpose why,

Whether the children be nice or

Naughty to put on Santa's list,

Necessary but lonely chore.

I called Santa for an assist.

So now a happy elf I be.

My buddy elf, Santa sent me.
