Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Buddha's Hand
I am a fruit called Buddha's hand,
And in the citrus family.
I'm grown in temperate climates and
Am found upon a thorny tree.
Multiple uses I provide.
I'm eaten for my flavoring zest,
Medical tonic, my dried hide.
For fragrant perfume I'm like best.
Buddhists deem me a new year's gift,
Good fortune I'm a symbol of,
Providing happiness uplift.
I'm given and received with love.
In the U.S. I'm often seen
As "goblin fingers," Halloween.
