Sense Sonnet - Steamer

 Portmanteau to You

I was a wigger, Hubby said,

A portmanteau of words combined,

Wife and nagger, Hubby turned red,

Laughing so hard of clever mind.

Then Hubby challenged me to think

Up a clever portmanteau for

Him, so I fixed me a stiff drink,

And then Hubby asked me to pour

Him a drink too, which I did, and

Poisoned it, Hubby gulped it down.

Soon Hubby could no longer stand,

Falling dead with a puzzled frown.

I think my portmanteau does win,

My Hubby once, now a husbeen.
