Sense Sonnet - Steamer

 Fame

You called me "babe" with a small "b,"

Never could remember my name.

That same old song you sang to me,

'Bout being a man finding fame,

And taking things over when found,

And going good places, good time

Of good life in a limo bound,

But ended up driven to crime.

You went from top to bottom fast,

From very best to very worst.

I'm grateful you were in my past,

Not with you when your bubble burst.

Sometimes fickle what fame does do,

Fame found me after leaving you.
