Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Grandma's Coins

I visited Grandma when I

Was just a selfish kid and stole

Some coins from her, no reason why.

A cupboard shelf, I found a hole,

And hid the stolen coins therein.

Grandma never a word did say,

And I forgot about my sin.

Went on to grow up in life's way.

Years later Grandma died, I went

Back again, and to her home where

I remembered my theft event,

Found myself at that cupboard there.

The coins still hidden on the shelf,

I was so ashamed of myself.
