Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Mom's Boots
Growing up was just Mom and I.
She had to walk round trip each day.
Only transportation was why.
Her city job, ten miles away.
Early each morning she'd start out,
Would not get home till late at night.
It was very tiring no doubt.
Mom wanted us to be alright.
A decent pair of boots she had
For walking that many a mile.
Mom told me it wasn't that bad.
She'd give me her hug and her smile.
And Good Samaritans there are,
Gave Mom money to buy a car.
