 My Light Within

The Bible tells that Jesus taught

That though the darkness 'round me be,

Jesus is with me and I ought

To shine the light that's within me,

And be a beacon in the night

With thoughts and deeds that show the good

To all others drawn to my light,

And know they can because I could.

To hide my light, Jesus did teach,

Is of no use to anyone,

So I need always seek to reach

Within for light, gift from God's Son.

In God's glory, my light does shine

So that salvation will be mine.
