I knew she knew that I loved her.

I knew she knew I needed be

The one that she would love for sure.

When she loved someone, why not me?

Way out of her league was how I

Was told by others to admit,

That I was just not the right guy

That she would deem as a good fit,

That she was like the wind that blew

My mind and heart and soul away,

And there was nothing I could do,
