Old Dixie was driven down in

The U.S.A. first Civil War,

In which the Union took the win.

Reunion was hard to restore,

Lots of bitterness on each side.

Most we the people were war tired,

Mourning the millions who had died.

Good hope for future was desired.

And for a while the U.S.A.

Managed to keep some unity.

But if repeat fate has its way,

The next Civil War soon will be.

First Civil War 'tween gray and blue,

Next 'tween blue and red coming due.
