In Summer, 1922,

The Finn brothers did take a trip.

Max, 10, And Jimmy, 9, did do

Raft down the mighty Mississipp.

They wrote a note and left it with

Aunt Susie in Hannibal town,

Saying they'd make the Mark Twain myth

Of Huck Finn real by rafting down

Ol' Man River just like Huck did.

Authorities did locate them.

Aunt Susie kind of flipped her lid.

They would face parental mayhem.

But the Finn brothers did as vowed.

Huckleberry would have been proud.
