 Bookworm

College professors have their thing

Assigning loads of books to read

All of the time from fall through spring,

Sometimes even summer indeed.

And many of these books I note,

Big or little not cheap to buy,

That some of my professors wrote,

And must be read to satisfy

The requirements of must take class.

There are no shortcuts to be had,

Must read each book or will not pass,

And that would upset Mom and Dad.

So I crawl through these books this term,

Begrudgingly a good bookworm.
