Sense Sonnet - Pumper
A Teaching Spider
"A Noiseless Patient Spider" is
A Walt Whitman poem in goal
Comparing a lone spider's biz
Web spinning to the human soul.
The spider in patient routine
Does quietly toss silken thread,
Catching the light of the still seen
Into world of unknown instead.
From inner self to outer sphere,
Until the web does take a shape,
And the spider knows faith not fear,
From all self doubt it can escape.
The human soul can likewise be,
Like spider's web spun faithfully.
