Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Feather Pillow Talk
Mr. Rufous-necked hornbill tells
Mrs. Rufous-necked hornbill that
It's been longest of bird dry spells
Lovemaking in their habitat.
He says to her, "This time around,"
"A better Dad I'll try to be."
But the Missus at him just frowned,
"Last time the work was all on me,"
"While you gallivanted about,"
"Treating parenting like a whim."
He says, "I'll be better no doubt."
She really does not believe him.
He pleads, "More offspring let us make."
She replies, "I have a headache."
