Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Bang Bang

When I was five and he was six,

I was his baby, he was mine.

And all the fights we had, we'd fix,

Destined together by design.

When he dropped out of high school, he

Said I had no future with him.

He left for parts unknown to me.

I found love elsewhere on a whim.

But then my baby did return,

Came to church on my wedding day.

Within him such a rage did burn.

I tried to calm him, but no way.

In the aisle in my wedding gown,

Bang, bang, my baby shot me down.
