Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Mother Gangster

I was the mother of four sons.

We lived in a hard place and time.

So my boys learned how to shoot guns.

We were a family of crime.

J. Edgar of the F.B.I.

Called us gangsters of the worst kind.

I got a kick hearing that my

"Gang" made some mad, I did not mind.

All that was important to me

Was that my boys did as I said.

I knew best for my family,

Best for my boys, alive and dead.

A gangster afoul of the law,

Kate Barker, but just call me "Ma."
