Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Dream Coat
A dream coat, father gave to me
And said, "Joseph, I favor you."
Very jealous my brothers be,
And did a bad thing, they did do.
My brothers sold me as a slave,
And then put goat's blood on my coat.
And then as lying proof they gave
It to father that I'd been smote
By unknown persons who had fled.
From slave to power I did rise,
Came back to father from the "dead."
My return was quite a surprise.
I did forgive but not forget.
My ruined dream coat still upset.
